Ok i know I'm a little behind on the times, but I'm really going to try this whole blog thing out. Besides Ben keeps bugging me about writing in a journal and maybe something like this I'll actually keep up with. Since I'm starting this at the very end of the year I'll go ahead and give you a little catch up on what's been going on.
December 2009, we packed up our house in Guam and headed back to Utah!! Ben started his Masters program in January and officially left the Air Force to become Army. He got his endorsement from the church to be an LDS Chaplain in March. Oh yea we also found out in February that we were expecting!! Ben spent all of his time going to school and i worked at walmart to keep our heads above the water. On September 9th we welcomed baby Hyrum!! he was 6lbs 6oz and 18 inches long (what a shorty). On September 12th my nephew Aaron passed away. It really hit our family hard and sort of pulled the rug out from under us. Ben took his Oath of Office into the Army on the 23rd of September and also got offered a job with the state of Utah!! In October Ben and i got to go to our first ever Chaplain seminar! It was AWESOME!!!! we attended all of the General Conference sessions and also had the chance to hear from a few of the general authorities. we got to meet Elder L. Tom Perry, and learned from him that Guam would become a stake this December! On October 25th my sister Kellee passed away, it wasn't really a shock but hit our family pretty hard. I'm glad both Kellee and Aaron are together and at peace but i will miss them more than anyone could imagine. Ben started his new job as a counselor for the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation in November. He is loving it! and for once really enjoys going to work everyday. I left Walmart to be home with the boys. Miguel has been doing great! He gets bigger everyday and seems to ask questions about everything under the sun. He is such a joy and one of our best friends. Hyrum gave us a scare with some heart problems he was having, but things are looking much better now. He really wishes he could run around just like miguel. we are in the process of trying to purchase a home in Price Utah where Ben is working for the state. Hopefully things will start to fall into place and we will be able to get settled in by the first part of the year. That's all our updates for now, cross your fingers that i will be able to keep up with this! Besos! the Baldonado Fam
